Elegance and Purpose in every pearl.

ABOUT US

Pearls For Good was born during the year my family lived in Japan. Immersion into Japan’s ancient culture and tradition created space for reflection, lasting connections, and an abiding appreciation for the creativity and integrity of the people in Japan’s astonishing country.

I fell in love with Japanese Akoya pearls which are considered the finest in the world. Their story includes a literal representation of how beauty is created through transforming adversity. I was honored to connect with a family business involved with the most distinguished Japanese pearl companies for over 65 years. They are dedicated to selecting and exporting extraordinary Akoya pearls from pearl farms in Japan. Through their expertise and generosity, I am able to bring exquisite Japanese Akoya pearls of the highest quality to the US and thus this opportunity to give back in a way I couldn’t before.

With Pearls for Good, every purchase of these luminous treasures supports a greater cause. As you cherish the natural beauty of your Akoya pearls, you’re also contributing to nonprofits and charitable missions. It’s a harmonious blend of luxury and philanthropy, where the classic elegance of the pearls is matched only by the generosity they inspire.

Why Japanese Akoya Pearls?

Pearls are the oldest gems discovered by humans and the only ones formed inside a living creature. When an irritant (e.g. piece of shell), finds its way into a mollusk, it immediately starts coating it with layers of a hard and iridescent substance called 'nacre' as a defense...

What is a Hanko?

Hanko are personalized seals considered ‘an expression of your soul’, used in lieu of signature a tradition that dates back to AD 57 in Japan.
